Jack Dorsey Predicts Bitcoin Will Reach $1 Million by 2030, Highlights Crypto Ecosystem Growth

Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter and a current supporter and founder of multiple cryptocurrency projects, has made a bold prediction that Bitcoin (BTC) could reach $1 million by the year 2030. Speaking in an interview with Pirate Wires, Dorsey was asked about his forecast for Bitcoin’s price, to which he responded, “I don’t know. Over… at least a million dollars. I do think it will hit that number, and probably more.”

Dorsey’s interest goes beyond the mere price fluctuations of cryptocurrencies; he is deeply fascinated by the ecosystem and the movement itself. He explained that the magic of Bitcoin lies in the community and efforts of everyone who works on it, gets paid in it, or invests in their own Bitcoin holdings—everyone contributing to improving Bitcoin helps enhance the entire ecosystem, which in turn drives up the price.

While a $1 million valuation might seem far-fetched compared to Bitcoin’s current price around $60,886, other industry heavyweights share similar sentiments. Cathie Wood, founder and CEO of Ark Invest, has gone even further, predicting that Bitcoin will reach $1.5 million by 2030.

Since stepping down as Twitter’s CEO in 2021, Dorsey has remained an advocate for the industry, leading and supporting various projects over the years. In 2019, he supported the social media startup BlueSky, but recently exited the company as his vision for a decentralized social media platform aligned more closely with Nostr, a competitor.

Dorsey also founded a company named Square in 2009, which rebranded to Block in 2021 as his interest in blockchain technology grew.
