Polygon Labs Achieves Significant ISO 27001 Information Security Certification

Polygon Labs has been awarded the prestigious ISO 27001 certification for information security management, following an independent audit by SchellmanCompliance. This certification validates Polygon’s commitment to the rigorous standards set for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving its Information Security Management System (ISMS).

ISO 27001 is a globally recognized standard that specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an ISMS. The standard helps organizations systematically manage their information security risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of assets.

“Earning the ISO 27001 certification is a testament to our strong security processes and our ongoing commitment to continual improvement,” said a spokesperson for Polygon Labs. “This compliance highlights our dedication to security best practices and establishes Polygon Labs as a trusted leader in the blockchain industry.”

The certification announcement coincided with a noticeable increase in the value of Polygon’s token (MATIC), which rose by 4.2% to $0.72 the day following the announcement, according to CoinMarketCap.

This significant milestone comes just two months after Polygon Labs announced a 19% reduction in its workforce, affecting 60 employees. CEO Marc Boiron discussed the challenges the team faced, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and engagement in complex business procedures to achieve success.
